Silver Jubilee Celebration of Shanthi CENTRE (IRCA)

The silver jubilee celebration of IRCA was inaugurated by Mr. Ramachandran Kadannapally the honorable minister for ports, museum and archaeology, Kerala government, at parish hall St. Joseph’s church on 15th December in a meeting presided over by the Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal, the bishop of Calicut. Rev. Fr. Alfred V. C. Director of CDSSS welcomed med the gathering. Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal, the Bishop of Calicut honored the honorable minister and other dignitaries as Mr. Rameshan Paleri, Dr. Joy Jacob, Mr. K.F. George, Rev. Sister Dr. Maria Fernanda, Rev. sister Maurilla, and Mr. Adeesh Damodaran . The Indo -Arab confederation specially honored Rev. Father Alfred V.C for the meritorious services he has rendered for promotion of communal harmony in Kerala . Rev. sister Daisy Asst. director of IRCA , proposed vote of thanks. The programme concluded with national anthem sung by the team of St. Paul’s Church Eranjipalam.

CDSSS Annual Day Celebration-2017

CDSSS annual day celebration 2017 was conducted at Deva Matha Cathedral Hall on 17th October 2017.Rev. Dr. P. T Mathew S.J. Inaugurated the function in a meeting presided by The Most Rev. Dr.Varghese Chakkalakkal, the Bishop of Calicut. Rev. Father Alfred V. C welcomed the gathering. Mr. Sunny M.C was accorded the Bishop Patroni award by The Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal the Bishop of Calicut. The Bishop also honored eminent personalities as Dr. Sudheera, Advocate Laila, Advocate Babu Benedict, Mr. George Sebastian, Mr. Attakoya Pallikandy and Mr. Orwell Lionel. Rev. Fr. Thomas Panakkal, and Rev. Dr. Sister Ancilla, felicitated the occasion. Mrs. Shiny Devasia proposed vote of thanks and the function was concluded with national anthem sung by the team of St. Paul’s Church Eranjipalam.

CDSSS ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION 2016

The celebration was marked with the following functions 1. Celebration of elevation of Mother Theresa and Rev. sister Maria Elizabeth Hassalblad as saints 2. According Bishop Patroni memorial award 3. Inauguration of diocesan level functioning of Ashakiranam Project The function started with a prayer by the children of Karuna School. The sisters of Karuna School presented a tableau. Rev .Father Alfred V.C. welcomed the gathering. The Bishop of Calicut Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal presided over the function and Shri Abdusammad Madani delivered the keynote address. Mr. M.K. Raghavan M.P. inaugurated the celebration and the respected Mayor of Calicut Corporation accorded the Bishop Patroni memorial award, honored eminent personalities, and inaugurated the district level functioning of Ashakiranam Project. The exhibition of paintings by Mr. Francis Kodangath on Saint Mother Theresa , and on Saint Maria Elizabeth Hassalblad, was inaugurated by the veteran writer Mr. Mukundan. Eminent personalities of Calicut facilitated the occasion. Rev. Sister Josapath M.C proposed vote of thanks and the programme ended with national anthem sung by St. Paul’s church choir, Eranjipalam.

Jalanidhi Kaniyambetta- Wayanad

Jeevana is successfully implementing Jalanidhi Project in Kniyambetta Panchayath. The planning for the project activities are in full swing as the project starts on 17th March 2013. The World bank aided project is monitored by KRWSA often known as Jalanidhi which aims at providing safe drinking water along with sanitation to the rural people in Kerala within a span of 2 years. The team building and orientation is in progress where Jeevana emphasis on participatory developemnt approach.

Diocesan Perspective Plan (DPP)

Jeevana has made a revisit of the DPP prepared in the year 2006 which was facilitated by Fr. Romance Antony, KSSF, Kottayam.The programme was inaugurated by Msgr. Vincent Arakkal.The programme aims at making a deeper look at the priority areas, issues and strategies to address these issues.Fr. Sebastian Karakkat, Director Jeevana and Z.Francis, Program Manager, Jeevana lead the process of revisiting DPP. The one day programme was attended by Priests, Sisters,GB Members,Leaders and Staff making a total of 32 members.
